The Town of Beaufort is asking residents and visitors to give feedback about accessibility and mobility issues with town-maintained sidewalks, roads and facilities.
Town staff are accepting feedback through a brief online survey.
The information gathered will be used to create an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan, which will identify barriers to accessibility and provide strategies for improvement.
On March 9, the town and representatives from Stewart, the firm designing the plan, will host a drop-in style public meeting from 4:30 to 5:30 pm at the Train Depot.
The ADA Transition Plan is being developed in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act, according to a town statement.
