Carteret County Public Schools will hold registration for rising kindergartners from 1-6 pm Thursday, February 28th. Parents should register their children at the school serving the area in which they reside.
Kindergarten registration is open for children who will be five years old on or before August 31st, 2019. Parents should bring a certified copy of the child’s birth certificate, immunization record, utility bill for proof of address and, of course, the new kindergartner.
CCPS Communications Director, Tabbie Nance, said the school system will be releasing information for families who are living outside of their normal school district due to Hurricane Florence as soon as possible. The Eastern Beacon will update this story as information becomes available.
As of last week, more than 800 students were still displaced from their homes.
Parents with other registration questions should contact the elementary school in their residential district.
