Beaufort Man Arrested on Heroin-Related Charges

The Beaufort Police Department took an alleged heroin dealer into custody after executing a search warrant at 501 Pine St., Beaufort around 7 pm Wednesday, July 3.

After what Beaufort Police described as a “lengthy investigation,” Rodney Bruce Oden, 26, of Beaufort was charged with three counts of “Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver heroin,” two counts of “Sell heroin,” two counts of “Deliver heroin,” two counts of “Manufacture heroin” and one count of “Maintaining a Dwelling for the Purpose of Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Controlled Substances.”

Additional charges are still pending, according to a release issued Thursday afternoon.


Oden is being held in the Carteret County Jail on a $75,000 secured bond.
