For 60 years, The Beaufort Garden Club been engaging in many facets of keeping Beaufort picturesque!
In 1959, The Beaufort Garden Club was founded by the lovely and current Beaufort resident, Jean Chappell, and her friends Hazel Simpson and Mildred Holland.
Through the years, The Beaufort Garden Club and Woman’s Club have shared many members and through working together have initiated many Beaufort traditions, such as The Old Homes Tour and Christmas Homes.
Additional activities include making wreaths for the Beaufort Historic Site and flower arrangements for the Old Homes Tour. Town clean up, planting trees and shrubs and maintaining parks are just some of the many other activities that we continue today.
Please join us and bring a friend to help us celebrate our 60th anniversary on Thursday, January 9th! Refreshments will be served from 9:30 until 10 am and be followed by our program.
